<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bandpass filter having a wide-reflection frequency band. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A reflection-type waveguide bandpass filter 90 changes the local even-mode characteristic impedance Z<SB>even</SB>(z) and the odd-mode characteristic impedance Z<SB>odd</SB>(z), with respect to the characteristic impedance Z<SB>0</SB>of a waveguide with a varying and nonuniform width w(z) and with a varying and nonuniform interval s(z).
