摘要 A material surface roughness detection program (10) calculates brightness difference vectors for each pixel composing a material surface image, calculates each of primary conversion vectors which convert the length of the brightness difference vectors, and calculates primary conversion/difference vectors for each pixel the primary conversion vectors of which are calculated. Subsequently, the program calculates each of secondary conversion vectors which convert the length of the primary conversion/difference vectors, and calculates each of degrees of surface roughness at the pixel-to-pixel distance by determining an average in length of the secondary conversion vectors. Upon calculation of the degree of surface roughness by changing the pixel-to-pixel distance at fixed intervals, the program detects the pixel-to-pixel distance when the degree of surface roughness reaches a saturation position as an index [degree of material surface roughness] indicating the material surface roughness.
