PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis display device for preventing substrates from coming off from partitions by reliably fixing the substrates to the partitions constituting a cell, and preventing a driving voltage from increasing, and to provide a method of manufacturing the electrophoresis display device. SOLUTION: The electrophoresis display device 1 comprises: a pair of electrode substrates 2, 6; the partitions 11 formed on one electrode substrate 6; a plurality of cells 10 tightly configured such that the other substrate 2 is adhered to the partitions 11 via pressure-sensitive adhesive layers 13; and an electrophoretic dispersion liquid 21 which is stored in the cells 10 and comprises at least electrophoretic particles 23 and dispersing liquid 22. Each partition 11 has a groove part 12 along the length direction of the partition on an apex flat plane 11' provided with the pressure-sensitive layer 13 and a width of the groove part 12 is in the range of 10 to 95% of the width of the apex flat plane 11' of the partition.
