<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve machining accuracy when mounting an ultrasonic machining tool to an ultrasonic machining device using a tool holder having a tool insertion part at the tip end and a slit which is continued to the tool insertion part and divides the tip end, and to enable ultraprecision machining. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic machining holder includes the tool insertion part 10 having a tool 2 to be inserted at the tip end of the holder 1 and the slit 11 which is continued to the tool insertion part 10 and divides the tip end. The slit 11 is in a surface approximately parallel to an axis center of the holder 1, and the depth form the tip end surface of the holder 1 is 1/8 to 1/5 of a machining ultrasonic wavelength.
