<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by an automatic idling function, and to improve print quality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The stencil printing device has a cylindrical printing cylinder 16 and a stencil paper 15 made based on image information wound around the printing cylinder 16, and performs stencil printing by pressure-contacting a print medium to the printing cylinder, and includes the automatic idling function for removing ink remaining on the printing cylinder, a humidity sensor 50 detecting humidity in the printing cylinder 16, and a control section adjusting the operation time of the automatic idling function based on the detection result by the humidity sensor 50.
