<p>A method of social networking comprising providing at least one personal avatar representing an individual with whom a user wishes to network; positioning the personal avatar adjacent to a visual display unit (VDU); detecting the proximity of the personal avatar to visual display unit; transmitting information associated with the individual represented by the personal avatar from the personal avatar to the visual display unitin response to said detecting; processing the information to determine the identity of the individual represented by the personal avatar; and displaying information relating to the individual represented by the personal avatar on the VDU.</p> |
