<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for achieving advance-angle control or delay-angle control of an electric motor by determining an excitation period of a drive signal. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit for an electric motor is provided with: an original-drive-signal generating part which generates an original drive signal as a signal synchronized with a position signal on the basis of a periodic position signal indicating a relative position between first/second driving members of an electric motor; an excitation-period setting part which arbitrarily sets an excitation period for exciting coils of an electric motor to any one of a plurality of periods including a period a boundary across each half period of the position signal and a period between the boundaries; and a drive-signal generating circuit that enables the original drive signal in the set excitation period and disables the original drive signal in a non-excitation period other than the set excitation period so as to generate a drive signal for driving the electric motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
