<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which ensures the strength of the frame and miniaturizes the apparatus without reducing the workability of the electric connection work between a driving substrate for driving a semiconductor laser and a control board for controlling the semiconductor laser. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an optical scanner and a pair of frames for supporting the optical scanner to the image forming apparatus body. The optical scanner is provided with cable connections to which a cable from the control board for controlling the semiconductor laser attached to the frame can be electrically connected. The driving substrate having the cable connections is provided on the wall surface of an optical box of the optical scanner located in the vicinity of the frame, and an opening for exposing the cable connections of the driving substrate is provided in the frame, thereby the cable can be connected to the cable connections from the outside of the frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
