PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an hydraulic driving system, precisely controlling a current flowing through a solenoid valve. SOLUTION: In a method of operating electrohydraulic valves 21, 22, 23, 24, a characteristic value representing how magnetic hysteresis exerts an influence on valve operation is first derived. On receiving an instruction designating a current of a desired magnitude to be applied to the electrohydraulic valve, the instruction is changed based on the characteristic value to compensate for the magnetic hysteresis.
