PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an EPG function possessed by a television in a television system, with high convenience. SOLUTION: A television system 1 is constituted of a television 2 and a portable terminal 3 that are mutually capable of communication. The television 2 receives images of a television program for fixed receivers. The portable telephone 3 receives images of a television program for mobiles. When a television EPG display button 37b of an operation part 37 is depressed by a user, a CPU 39 transmits a program-listing data request command for requesting first program-listing data stored in a memory 23 to the television 2. When a transmitting/receiving part 27 receives the program-listing data request command from the portable telephone 3, a CPU 28 of the television 2 transmits the first program-listing data stored in the memory 23 to the portable telephone 3. When a transmitting/receiving part 38 receives the first program-listing data from the television 2, the CPU 39 of the portable telephone 3 creates a television EPG screen, on the basis of the received first program-listing data so as to have it displayed on a display 34.
