PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid generating chatter (noise factor) when a coil spring of a coil clutch device rotates to a cylinder inner hole. SOLUTION: The coil clutch device C is equipped with an unrotatable casing 33 with the cylinder inner hole 33a, the coil spring 24, having a pair of hook parts 24b, 24c, loaded into the cylinder inner hole 33a, an input shaft capable of engaging with inside surfaces of the respective hook parts 24b, 24c at an inner end part 23b in the casing and capable of inputting a rotation force in a normal direction or a reverse direction and an output shaft, provided co-axially for the input shaft, capable of engaging with an outer side faces of respective hook parts 24b, 24c by an inner end part 41b in the casing and inputting the rotation force in the reverse direction. A friction engaging force adjusting means E for gradually decreasing a frictional engagement force of the coil spring 24 and the cylinder inner hole 33a toward a coil spring end 24a1 at a reaction force side is provided at a position at least halfway down a circumference from the coil spring end 24a1 at the reaction force side which is a side receiving the reverse rotation force from the output shaft.
