TURBINE ENGINE COMPONENT HAVING AIRFOIL PORTION HAVING PRESSURE SIDE AND SUCTION SIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine engine component for improving cooling effectiveness without increasing a blade cooling flow. SOLUTION: This turbine engine component has an airfoil portion 110 having a pressure side 116 and a suction side 118. The turbine engine component also has a first cooling microcircuit for cooing the suction side 118 of the airfoil portion 110. The first cooling microcircuit 102 is embedded in a first wall 106 forming the suction side 118. The first cooling microcircuit 102 allows a cooling fluid in the first cooling microcircuit to exit at the tip of the airfoil portion. The turbine engine component also has a second cooling microcircuit 100 embedded in a second wall 108 forming the pressure side 116 of the airfoil portion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
