PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and useful movable partition device easily applicable to an existing movable partition device to accurately construct a sliding door type entrance, and easily coping with a layout change. SOLUTION: A rail mounting member 101 is provided above an open space SS formed between partition panels A, A or between the partition panel A and a post B, so as to extend between the partition panels A, A or between the partition panel A and the post B. A rail mounting member 101 is integrally provided with a rail 102 for guiding a sliding door 100 between a position to close the lower space of the rail mounting member 101 to an overlap position with the adjacent partition panel A, and the sliding door 100 is movably supported to the rail 102.
