The thermometer has a sensor part (2) exhibiting a sensor (21) for measuring temperature, and electrically connected with a connector (3). The connector is formed by connection elements (31, 32) attached at a control part (1) and the sensor part. The connection elements exhibit pins (33) designed by contact pins. The control part and the sensor part are electrically connected with each other. A circuit (13) identifies sensor part for different applications by removal of certain pins of the connection element (32).
