<p>A first preheater (1) is fed with a lime-rich component. A further preheater (3) is fed with a component low in lime. The first preheater is connected to an outlet gas line (5a) from the kiln (5). The second preheater is connected to an outlet gas line (6a) from the furnace (6). The kiln is equipped with a feed system (14) supplying fuel (15) and pure oxygen. Each preheater has an outlet for preheated material. Both outlets are connected to the kiln, to feed it with the preheated raw material components. A recirculation system (18) returns gases (17) leaving the first preheater to the kiln. These gases are further heated by a heat exchanger (18a) connected to a tertiary air (20) line (19) of the fired-clinker cooler (9). A filter (21) removing dust is included in the first preheater. The filter is followed by a system removing moisture (22) from the effluent gases. Each preheater has a separate filter for dust extraction. Tertiary air leaving the heat exchanger is used to dry material and/or for power generation. An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR the corresponding method of manufacturing cement clinker.</p> |
