<p>A portable electronic device includes a motion sensor sensing motion inputs to the device, a haptic output device, including one or more haptic devices, providing force feedback representing interpretation of motion of the device, and a processor responsive to a motion input as sensed by the motion sensor as a representation of motion of the portable electronic device, and wherein the haptic output device provides a haptic output as feedback indicating how the motion is interpreted by the portable electronic device without the need for a user of the device to look at the display of the device. The haptic output may represent whether a telephone call has been completed or the called telephone is busy. A method of indicating the result of motion or of selecting of a function of a portable electronic device and providing haptic output representative thereof as feedback without the need to view the device display.</p> |
