<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having satisfactory display quality over a long period by preventing the reduction of the environment resistance of a color filter member, the leakage of impurities and the reduction of electrical properties caused by patterning a transparent electrode layer, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a liquid crystal display using the same. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a color filter for a liquid crystal display device, in which an inorganic thin film layer (6) is deposited on each region from which a transparent electrode layer is partially pattern-removed.
