<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray detector, coping with from low flux rates to high flux rates with a single layer of semiconductor, and an X-ray CT device comprising the X-ray detector. <P>SOLUTION: The X-ray detector using semiconductor for directly converting photon of an X-ray directly into an electric signals includes a single-layer semiconductor board 500 having an array of detection cells for directly converting the photon of the X-ray into an electric signal, a first data collection means 610 for collecting data in a photon counting mode for the detection cells, and a second data collection means 620 for collecting data in a current measuring mode for the detection cells. The first data collection means and the second data collection means conduct collection of data for the common detection cells.
