PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Japanese input device of an on-vehicle navigation device allowing easy and intuitive Japanese input of high speed without referring to display. SOLUTION: A steering wheel 40 includes a consonant input section 21 and a vowel input section 22. A consonant input from the consonant input section 21 and a vowel input from the vowel input section 22 are combined, and thus a Japanese is input. The steering wheel 40 includes a defined input section 23, a small letter conversion input section 24, and an elimination input section 25. A created letter input by the consonant input section 21 and a vowel input section 22 is defined by the defined input section 23, is converted into a small letter used for contracted sound or double consonant by the small letter conversion input section 24, and eliminated by an elimination input section 25. The input consonant or vowel, or the created letter created by their input is emitted from an on-vehicle loudspeaker.
