PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem wherein a drivability database (a drivability DB) and a map database (a map DB) are erroneously associated. SOLUTION: The map DB 21 and the drivability DB 22 are associated by a navigation apparatus 40. When they are associated by the navigation apparatus 40, a VICS(R) link is used by the navigation apparatus 40. A known VICS table 31 may define a correspondence relationship between a link of the map DB 21 and the VICS link. The VICS table 32 defines a correspondence relationship between a link of the drivability DB 22 and the VICS link. It is to be noted that VICS link can be diverted to an extent other than the map DB.
