PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably store an ink cartridge in a holder of a recording apparatus, and to provide the ink cartridge which can surely come into contact with a contact of an information recorder formed in the ink cartridge with a connector formed in the holder of the recording apparatus. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge is a container comprised of a top surface 3a, a bottom surface 3b, a front surface 3c, a rear surface 3d and a pair of side surfaces 3e connecting these surfaces as principal surfaces. A second securing member 10 includes a supporting part 10a for cantilever supporting which is located on a surface different from the front surface 3c, the bottom surface 3b and a pair of the side surfaces 3e; an arm part 10i which extends from the supporting part 10a to at least a part of the top surface 10a and a part of the front surface 10c; and a return preventing projection 10e on an upper part of the front surface 3c side of the arm part 10i. A movement inhibiting member 13 is prepared on the upper side from the return preventing projection 10e of the front surface 3c, which inhibits movement to the top surface 3a side of the return preventing projection 10e.
