PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial lawn capable of easily storing water due to temperature drop and filled with a granular bodies which do not tend to be flushed by rainwater. SOLUTION: At least a part of the granular bodies of a granular body layer filled between lawn threads is formed in a short cylindrical body having a hollow section opened at both ends. Since the water such as rainwater is held by the hollow section of the short cylindrical body, the surface temperature of the artificial lawn is lowered by the vaporization heat of the held water. Since air bubbles are not contained in the peripheral wall of the short cylindrical body because the part of the granular body is formed in the short cylindrical shape. Therefore, since the density of the peripheral wall is not lowered, the short cylindrical body does not float on the water even if immersed in the water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
