METHOD FOR PROVIDING CONTENTS SERVICE USING INTERNET PROTOCOL TELEVISION

PURPOSE: A contents service providing method using IPTV is provided to display the preference information through IPTV and the preference information about the following contents related to the presently requested contents by extracting the preference information about the contents and transmitting the preference information and the contents to the IPTV. CONSTITUTION: The contents is requested from the IPTV(S10). The broadcast control server extracts the contents from the contents DB(S20). The contents information is transmitted to the preference information generator. The information for the most frequently requested contents is requested to the preference information generator. The preference information generator extracts the preference information for the contents transmitted from the broadcast control server and transmits to the broadcast control server(S30). The broadcast control server transmits the contents and preference information to the IPTV(S40). The IPTV displays the preference information on a screen(S70).
