摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment method of a light projection element allowing the center position of an optical chip to coincide with the reference position of an element storage section relatively easily even in the case of a compact light projection element. <P>SOLUTION: In the alignment method of the light projection element 10, the light projection element 10 without any lenses where a light-emitting chip 23 is molded by resin is mounted to the element storage section 51 where an element block 50 is formed while a center position O2 of the light-emitting chip 23 in the light projection element 10 coincides with a hole center position O1 of the element storage section 51. The alignment method comprises: a center position detection process for detecting the center position of the light-emitting chip 23 in the light projection element 10 where the resin-molded outer-periphery section is formed larger than the element storage section 51 in advance; and a cutting process for cutting the outer-periphery section of the resin-molded light projection element 10 along a border line G of the element storage section 51 aligned to allow the hole center position O1 to coincide with the center position O2 of the light-emitting chip 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
