<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical brake operating device for a drum brake wherein assembly of a brake cable is easy. <P>SOLUTION: In the mechanical brake operating device equipped with a strut engaging with one brake shoe, and a tabular operation lever engaging with another brake shoe, a communication passage is provided in the operation lever, a projecting part projecting into a space between its opposing pieces is provided in the strut, and after inserting a connection pin to connect the brake cable to the operation lever, one part of the brake cable or one part of the connection pin interferes with the projecting part and return of the connection pin to a connection pin latching part is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
