<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort empty cans and waste PET bottles at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The sorting apparatus includes first and second photoelectric sensors 14, 15 irradiating light to cross the conveyance path of a conveyer 3. The first photoelectric sensor 14 irradiates light with intensity allowing detection of passing of empty cans or waste PET bottles by cut off or attenuation of the irradiated light by empty cans and waste PET bottles, and the second photoelectric sensor 15 irradiates intensive light passing through the waste PET bottles and cut off only by empty cans to allow detection of passing of empty cans. Cut off or attenuation of light irradiated from the first photoelectric sensor 14 allows the detection of passing of the empty cans or waste PET bottles. When the light irradiated from the second photoelectric sensor 15 passes without being cut off, the passing object is discriminated as a waste PET bottle, and pulse air is jetted to the discriminated waste PET bottle to blow off the PET bottle for sorting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
