PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable power tool capable of lessening load added on an operator at the time of momentary floating of a tool body caused by reaction. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic nail driving machine (portable power tool) 1 for performing an operation by holding a grip 4 forming a part of a housing 2, a guide section 24C keeping in contact with a section from a rear part of a hand gripping the grip 4 to a wrist and a grip guide 24 extending by approaching either of right and left sides against an axis of the grip 4 and forming a cover section 24A covering outside the back of the hand are arranged on an end section 4a of the grip 4. Further, the grip guide 24 is formed separatedly from the grip 4, and is arranged to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the grip 4.
