PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning control system which allows a device capable of vertically driving a cleaning gondola to be installed more easily than in conventional methods of cleaning buildings, which can be easily removed when work is completed, which allows a cleaning worker to efficiently perform cleaning, which is safe, and which can be inexpensively provided. SOLUTION: The positioning control system includes a plurality of struts 1, ropes 8 the ends of which are attached to struts 1, respectively, drive wheels 7a around which the ropes 8 are wrapped, respectively, motors 4 rotationally driving the drive wheels 7a, respectively, motor control units 3 for controlling the rotating driving of the motors 4, respectively, a controller 2 for instructing the rotating drive amounts of the motors 4 to the motor control units 3, respectively, and an operation device 16 which contains the drive wheels 7a, the motors 4, the motor controllers 3 and which is supported upward using at least two ropes 8.
