PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile unit in which user friendliness is improved and reduces a load on a communication network or on the unit itself by suppressing a non-communication period to a minimum in reconnection processing of communication. SOLUTION: In a case where an out-of-synchronism detection section 4 of a mobile unit 2 detects out-of-synchronism, an individual timer value determination section 53 selects two or more timer value change triggers from among timer value change triggers stored in a timer value change trigger storage section 51 and determines individual timer values for the selected timer value change triggers on the basis of determination rules stored in the individual timer value determination rule storage section 52. On the basis of the two or more individual timer values determined by the individual timer value determination section 53, a reconnection timer value calculation section 54 calculates a suitable reconnection timer value. A timer switching control section 5 sets the reconnection timer value, and a timer control section 6 starts a timer.
