IMAGE PROCESSOR AND IMAGING DEVICE USING THE SAME

An encoder (20) encodes a frame image continuously imaged by an imaging element (10) as video. A holder (30) temporarily holds the frame image imaged by the imaging element (10). When a command to image a still image was received during the imaging of a video, a controller (40) performs the control to record the target frame image for the imaging command and at least one frame image adjacent to that image in the temporal direction as the frame images to be used in ultra-high resolution image processing. An ultra-high resolution image processor (50) performs the ultra-high resolution image processing by using the target frame image and the adjacent frame which are saved in a holding unit (30) to create a higher resolution still image.
