<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing of a display apparatus for disposing a light source supporting member in a predetermined position, and excellent in the rigidity, and the display apparatus with it. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus includes: a chassis body 211 planarly molded, and having a reflection plane 211A facing a plane opposite to a display area of a LCD 300, and a plurality of hollow ribs 214 formed by profile-extruding a resin material in the extrusion direction.
