PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ribbon reliably reducing the polarization mode dispersion of each coated optical fiber and having good handling property; and to provide a production method to easily produce the optical fiber ribbon. SOLUTION: The optical fiber ribbon G3 is made by arranging the plurality of coated optical fibers G2 of which glass fiber G1 is coated by coating H1 and the whole circumference is coated by the coating H2 and is integrated. The coated optical fiber G2 has an elastic twisting distortion to reverse periodically the twisting direction in the longitudinal direction. When the coated optical fiber G2 releases the integration by the coating H2, the glass fiber G1 decentered, and the decentered position has a portion which changes spirally in the longitudinal direction.
