<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlamp leveling device capable of reducing relative error of displacement amount of a joint means, such as a wire, and facilitating adjustment of optical axes of right and left headlamps. <P>SOLUTION: Distance from a female screw hole 100, that is a joint position between a guide screw 92 and a slider 88, to a locking hole 104L is sufficiently longer than distance from the female screw hole 100 to a locking hole 104R in the headlamp leveling device 10. Therefore, moment ML working on the locking hole 104L becomes larger than moment MR working on the locking hole 104R. With this, looseness of joint to the guide screw 92 is absorbed by inclination of the slider 88 in the moment ML direction in either case of pull or pull-back of the wires 18L, 18R, therefore, an increase of error between movement amount of the wire 18L and movement amount of the wire 18R by pull and pull-back is restrained, thus reducing gap of inclination of the optical axis of light emitted from each of the headlamp units 12L, 12R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
