<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability with respect to dispersion of clutch engagement time and clutch engagement shocks due to a current-hydraulic characteristic of a linear solenoid valve. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An in-gear hydraulic correcting means 102 carries out correction by reducing an engagement control hydraulic pressure set by a hydraulic pressure supply control means 61 during in-gear control for just a first predetermined pressure throughout a whole region. In an addition correction control means 105, when a first predetermined time T is measured by a clocking means 101, if it is determined by an engagement decision means 104 that engagement of friction engagement elements has not started, an engagement control hydraulic pressure corrected by the in-gear hydraulic pressure control means 102 is corrected by adding just a second predetermined pressure, and when a second predetermined time T2 is measured by the clocking means 101, if it is determined by the engagement decision means 104 that engagement of the friction engagement elements has not started, just a third predetermined pressure is further added to the engagement control hydraulic pressure corrected by adding just the second predetermined pressure to carry out correction.
