<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold capable of making a scratch generated on the product surface of a workpiece shallow and short and its repair easy, and to provide its manufacturing method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The molding surface 2 of the base material of the mold 1 is applied with roughening processing. Then, on the molding surface 2 applied with the roughening processing there is formed the covering layer 3 having a maximum roughness Ry of 5-20 μm. Since the maximum roughness Ry of the covering layer 3 of the molding surface 2 of the mold 1 is ≥5 μm, the slide of the workpiece relative to the molding surface 2 of the mold 1 can be restrained in the blow molding using the mold 1. By this, even if a scratch is generated on the product surface of the workpiece, its length can be shortened. Furthermore, since the maximum roughness Ry of the covering layer 3 of the molding surface 2 of the mold 1 is ≤20 μm, even if a scratch is generated on the product surface of the workpiece, the depth of the scratch can be suppressed to a repairable level.
