There is disclosed a method and mechanism destined for the roll-like production of a disposable protective jacket (fig 1) made of plastic sheet, absorbent paper or like materials 1. Constitution: a roll material 5, and a perforation/detachment arrangement composed of a pair of rotary co-operating drums 7, 8 or 17, 18 allowing either the uninterrupted manufacture of jackets or the manufacture thereof by lots; the drum 8,18 exerts pressure to the drum 7,17 bearing an arrangement of knives 11,12,13 serving for the perforation or detachment of jackets lengthwise the marking line 11 and the perforations 12, 13 serving for the creation of an opening allowing the head to pass through. Strips 3a, 3b serving for the fastening of the jacket around the neck and the waist are also provided. |
