The cover unit (10) has a template-like base body (13) which is formed in plate shape and has guide elements (17). The guide elements are engaged at the rotationally symmetric sections or projections (18) of the components such that a circular relative movement is carried out between the base body and the component around a symmetry axis of the rotationally symmetric component. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for high pressure water jets of rotationally symmetric components, particularly gas turbine components; and (2) a method for high pressure water jets of rotationally symmetric components, particularly a gas turbine component.
