<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption of a battery, as much as possible, which is a power supply for a mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: An area management server 40 acquires existing station information which is information indicating a base station, corresponding to an area in which the mobile terminal 60 is located and determines transmission necessity of a positional information acquisition request of the mobile terminal 60, based on the acquired existing station information. As for the mobile terminal 60, only when the positional information acquisition request is received, will the positional information of the mobile terminal itself be acquired, by using GPS or the like at accuracy which is higher than the existing station information. Since only when another mobile terminal is located in the area corresponding to the same existing station, can the positional information be acquired with higher accuracy, the consumption of the battery which is the power supply for the mobile terminal can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
