<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dip connector with a cover, which prevents contact failure between itself and a counterpart connector by preventing solder and flux from infiltrating into an engagement recessed part, and serves as a compact and lightweight dip connector after it is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The dip connector with a cover 100 includes a housing 110 in which an engagement recessed part 111 is provided and contacts 120, and is structured so that: the engagement recessed part is positioned corresponding to the connection opening 230 of a printed wiring board 200; and if the leg 121 of the contact is inserted in a leg hole 240, the tip of the leg projecting from the leg hole can be soldered to the back of the printed wiring board. It is also structured so that: a cover 130 detachably mounted to one side in the vertical direction is provided in the housing to cover the opening 111a of the engagement recessed part; and if the cover is pulled toward the backside from the connection opening of the printed wiring board after the leg is soldered to the printed wiring board, the engagement projecting part of the counterpart connector can be engaged with the engagement recessed part from the backside of the printed wiring board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
