PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight shoe takeoff stand smoothly reversing an upper plate by a mechanical element alone. SOLUTION: In a state where no user is on the upper plate 3 and arms 11A and 11B are engaged with corner parts 15A and 15 of a rotary table 10 in a first state, when a user mounts the upper plate 3 with shoes on, the arms 11A and 11B are swung against urging force of torsional coil springs 12A and 12B while pushing cams 14A and 14B till reaching free ends of projecting circumferential faces 13A and 13B of the cams 14A and 14B. After that, when the user takes off the shoes and leaves there, the arms 11A and 11B are rotated by the rotary table 10 using the urging force of the torsion coil springs 12A and 12B, and the arms 11A and 11B are engaged with the corner parts 15A and 15B of the rotary table 10 in a second state, or the inverse state to the first state, to stop the rotation of the rotary table 10.
