PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert data into an output image with sensible fidelity to an original regardless of the combination of the original and a paper sheet to be output.

SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with: an image reader 1 for obtaining image data in which an image is read and digitized; a plotter device 9 for forming an image to a recording medium; and first and second data processors 2 and 4 for correcting image output characteristics so that image characteristics formed to the recording medium become uniform. The image processor is provided with a CPU 6 for creating correction data by changing a target image output characteristics from calibration image information obtained by reading an image for calibration formed by the plotter device 9 on the recording medium and original image information on the original read by the reader 1.
