TRANSPARENT MAGNETIC FILM, METHOD OF READING MAGNETIZATION PATTERN, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TRANSPARENT MAGNETIC FILM, AND MAGNETIZATION PATTERN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent magnetic film satisfactorily maintaining rewrite cycles and recording/reproducing information at high speed with satisfactory reproducibility, to provide a method for reproducing the same, to provide a method for manufacturing the transparent magnetic film, and to provide a magnetization pattern.

SOLUTION: A dispersion liquid containing titania nano sheets (transparent and capable of developing magnetic anisotropy in a direction perpendicular to a surface of a supporting body by application of a magnetic field) covered by a dispersant and a water soluble polymer is provided on the supporting body by a coating method or a printing method in a continuous film shape or a pattern film shape, and dried while the magnetic field is applied (a magnetic flux direction is parallel to the supporting body) to form a titania nano sheet layered film (e.g. a plurality of titania nano sheets having wavelength dependency are division-disposed or layered in the thickness direction) as the transparent magnetic film. Information is recorded/reproduced as a magnetization pattern to/from the transparent magnetic film by using magnetism or/and light.
