TAPE SLOT TYPE OPTICAL FIBER CABLE, AND MID-SPAN BRANCHING METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable with which a press-winding tape can be easily cut up close to a coated optical fiber ribbon without using a cutting tool to further improve workability and to reduce work hours. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The press-winding tape includes linear perforation in a direction crossing the press-winding tape at a prescribed spacing, and a notch reaching to an end face of the press-winding tape is formed in one of the leading lines in the perforation to form a finger-knob portion in a free shape from the end face to the perforation, opposing to an opening formed between the press-winding tape portions.
