<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head for enhancing a head turn compared with a conventional golf club head when enlarging the head, so as to stabilize a ball hit direction, and also enhancing a carry; and to provide a golf club with the golf club head. <P>SOLUTION: The head volume of the golf club head 1 is made to be 400-470 cm<SP>3</SP>, and a height along the face 2 of a face part 3 is made to be 45-55 mm in a head body 6. In a state where the head body 6 is grounded on a horizontal surface P in a normal posture, a centroid depth GR is made to be 15-30 mm, the centroid depth GR being defined by the shortest distance from the projected point G1 of the centroid G of the head body 6 on the horizontal surface P to a virtual surface S including the central axis H of a shaft insertion hole 8 of the head body 6 and vertically intersecting with the horizontal surface P; and also the centroid distance GL is made to be 15-27 mm, the centroid distance GL being defined by the length of a vertical line L obtained from the centroid G of the head body 6 to the extension line of the central axis H. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
