<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that when holding a card case over a receiving panel of an automatic ticket gate with it picked up with fingers or with it grasped in the palm, the fingers and a part of the palm obstruct data exchange between the card case and the receiving panel of the automatic ticket gate, thereby being hard to hold the card case thereover, a clearance formed between the card case and the receiving panel prevents their approach, causes an error and prevents smooth ticket examination, and when the card case is put in a purse with the thickness easy to hold over, it involves a risk of a pickpocket and an anxiety of loss, in the thin and compact card case for presenting a commuter pass or the like in which the IC card for exchanging information data by magnetism or electromagnetic waves is put. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A card case is provided with a flexible projection that is formed of a flexible material, stands in an unloaded state, is picked up with fingers, is clamped between the fingers and/or catches a finger.
