PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that noninvasively measuring the change of the local amount of blood of the brain needs to adjust the gain of the detector on ahead from the aspect of keeping enough ratio of a signal and noise, that therefore the preliminary measurement is usually performed to determine the detector gain according to the amount of detected light, that is, when the amount of detected light is small, the gain of the detector and the amplifier is risen, and that when the amount of detected light is large, the gain is reduced to adjust the sensitivity, in this way, the detector gain is often determined from a signal which is not biological signal such as raw data of the amount of detected light heretofore, but that this method does not check the biological signal, and when the mounting condition of the probe is bad, the light which is not incident to a living body such as the light reflected on the surface is measured as the amount of detected light transmitted to the living body, and it has the potential not to set the suitable gain. SOLUTION: The heartbeat fundamental wave component, the breath component, and the component of in-vivo fluctuation mounted on the dynamic signal of brain blood are extracted from the local blood amount change of the brain, and the probe mounting condition is determined from these properties, and the result is displayed.
