<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the entire volume of a vehicle condition indicator for indicating a vehicle condition by using a band-shaped slender indication surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A vehicular indicator is provided with: a laser diode 2 for applying a visible laser beam L1; and a scanner 3 for scanning the laser beam L1 toward an indication region DR1 disposed in a windshield WS (refer to Fig. (a)). As shown in Fig. (b), the indication region DR1 is made up of a laser irradiation region IR1 where an oblong rectangle is drawn on the windshield WS and the laser beam L1 is applied into a rectangular interior, and a scale indication region SR1 where a scale and figures corresponding to the scale are drawn on the windshield WS. A right half HR1 of the indication region DR1 is a region for indicating an engine speed, and a left half HL1 thereof is a region for indicating a vehicle speed. The vehicular indicator indicates a band-shaped image simultaneously indicating the vehicle speed and the engine speed by scanning the laser beam L1 toward the laser irradiation region IR1.
