PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the huge test of firmware with a few man-hours and time. SOLUTION: This firmware test automation method includes performing the forced writing of set data to be set in the normal operation time of an edge sensor as object equipment, input data to be input from a sensor head 1 in the normal operation time and internal variables as data to be generated by firmware during the execution of the a program corresponding to the set data and the input data from an external computer 3 in testing the firmware.
