PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer suppression plate body capable of blocking heat entering into a member or coming out from a member on the surface of the member, capable of suppressing convective heat transfer generated between the surface of the member and the atmosphere and thermal radiation itself, and having cost advantage. SOLUTION: A large number of recessed parts 2 are provided on the surface of the heat transfer suppression plate body 1 and are arranged intersecting with the convection of the atmosphere on the surface, so that naturally convecting fluid stagnates in the recessed parts 2. The plate body 1 is formed of a metal plate material etc. having a small thermal radiation ratio, and the large number of recessed parts 2 have a circular shape and can be arranged zigzag. When the surface of the plate body 1 has natural convection of the atmosphere, the naturally convecting fluid stagnates in the recessed parts 2, so as to develop a thermal boundary layer. As a result, convective heat transfer can be suppressed.
