<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite mold for a press in which an upper die can be moved in one motion from a top dead center to a bottom dead center. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In Fig. (a), a downwardly projecting part 28 is abutted on an upwardly projecting part 29, and the descent of an upper forming die 13 is stopped. In the processes so far, the descending force of an upper base 11 is transmitted to the upper forming die 13 via a rotary cam 20 and a cam pressing member 19, whereby the upper forming die 13 is capable of performing the drawing of a blank W with a strong force. When the upper base 11 is further descended from the condition in Fig. (a), the rotary cam 20 is turned counterclockwise. Then, as shown in Fig. (b), the descent of the upper base 11 can be performed, and a hole can be formed in the blank W by a pierce punch 16.
